Talk about slanted. Maybe they just don’t know anything about the situation. I’m looking for other stories about this.
OK, I looked. They all carry the same AP article by Harry Weber. I wonder if he’ll eventually get the facts right. Probably not, saying “About 200 of the 1,800 employees in Delta’s technology unit would be affected, though it’s unclear how many might lose their jobs. Often in such arrangements, some employees transfer to the company to which the work is being outsourced.” sells panic. Much more so than saying something like “About 200 of the 1,800 employees in Delta’s technology unit would be affected, though it’s unclear how many might choose to go to IBM. Often in such arrangements, some employees transfer to the company to which the work is being outsourced.”
