Below is the text of a letter to the editor of the AJC. I posted the whole text because things have a habbit of dissappearing of the AJC website. Original page.
Monied America lacks moral goodness
Congratulations, monied America: You wanted your gated communities to keep out the poor, to protect yourselves from crime, to separate yourselves from undesirables. You took the high roads and built your gated communities on them so you would stay dry and clean while the stormwaters of filth and despair flooded their neighborhoods.
You did it. You kept out the poor, you concentrated the crime in the poor neighborhoods, effectively ensuring those neighborhoods would remain poor and broken. You separated yourselves from the undesirables.
And then you left them, to die in attics and on rooftops and in the streets and in the disgusting halls of commerce and sports. The richest nation in the world is the most destitute when it comes to true moral goodness. God could not bless this America at all.

Mr. Sam Marie Engle did not do his homework. Talk what you know, or shut the fuck up!
Mr Sam Marie Engle is a Mrs but yeah, she has no clue. The bad thing is she actually believes what she is saying. And even worse, she’s a college teacher. Like you said..do your homework!
A woman?! I guess I should also start second guessing the intelligence of women too.
Especially the female Georgia Educators. And they have the nerve to be proud enough to sport it on their license plates? Go figure!
This type writing should give strength to the movement to rid academia of those who consider
themselves the protectors of us all. Maybe she should move to New Orleans poor section, to
Houston or the poor sections of Boston or New York, leave her car unlocked on
the streets and her house unlocked while she is away. Then we will see how well she fares with
her idealistic views on the rest of us. Her thoughts are racing across the internet and will
undoubtedly change some folk’s views. Not the way she would want either.
