Went to Six Flags Saturday. It was really fun. We may have to look in to getting season passes. I went with Paige. Her company had a get together and everybody got two tickets. While we were there I managed to leave my cell phone on a wall. Luckily, someone turned it in and I had it back within 30 minutes or so. We met up with Brandy and her girls. Rode some rides. And one coaster. I don’t like coasters. You can read about my dislike on Paige’s site. Anyway, I had a great time. Look forward to going back.

This may or may not come as a surprise. It certainly makes sense. Intel and AMD chiops are getting faster and faster and using less energy per clock cycle than anything IBM has been able to produce. And to all the fan boys out there griping about people running Windows on computers with Apple logos, so what? They are still going to have to buy it from Apple. That also means they’ll be buying a copy of Mac OS X. So what if they wipe it to run Windows. Besides, I bet anything Steve will put some peice of hardware in it that requires Mac to run right. I know I would. Besides, don’t we want OS X to run on the fastest, cheapest hardware around? And it’s not the first time Apple’s switched processors.

Thanks for the luck!! I got the job. Can’t say who it’s with on here. They have let at least one person go in the past. Which is fine. I’ve never talked about my job except in the most generic ways. But anyway…Day shift!! Monday-Friday! Get my weekends back! Dinner with the family! Start on the 20th. Man, am I gonna be in over my head for the first 6 months or so. Been WAY too long since I was SA on a Solaris system. But I’m really excited about it.
