This will, without a doubt, piss off at least 3 people who read this regularly. Why is this report a surprise? How stupid does someone have to be to set a weed on fire and suck on the burning embers?? Honestly, I’m kinda surprised the tobacco companies have to do any research at all. What makes someone thing that’s a good idea? And don’t give me this shit about how addicting it is! Don’t fucking start! Have some balls. Tell the people trying to get you to start, or start back, to fuck off. And if you start, or start back, because you want to, that just takes a very special kind of stupid. And, yeah, this hits close to home. And no, I don’t know why I feel so strongly about it. But I do. And I’ll never change my mind. Smoking will NEVER be ok with me.

Looks like Via is set to release some low cost chips for notebook PCs. These are a huge step up from the C3 chips they make now. These, called C7, will be made in the US by IBM. They should perform along the same lines as the current Intel and AMD notebook chips. Could “fast and light” notebook prices be in for a plunge? I hope so.
