Man, I’ve never been that sick in my life. I had both kids home sick on Monday. Andrew was coughing bad but Brendon had the cough, a fever and he was complaining about his ear hurting. Made him an appointment for Tuesday. So Monday was shot and Tuesday would be too. Andrew was coughing again Tues so he stayed home. But he got feeling better so I was able to take him later. I started feeling tired toward the end of the day then, that night, Damn! I shivered all night. I was freezing and so sick. The boys went to school and Lisa went to work on Wednesday. I was feeling a bit better and a friend came over. I was still tired though and I wasn’t very good company. But I thought I was getting better. That is, until I went to bed for the night. My fever hit 103.7 at one point. I’d sleep for what felt like 2 or 3 hours, wake up and look at the clock and 10 minutes had passed. That night was torture! Needless to say I saw a doctor Thursday. He said I had one of the worst throat infections he’d seen. So I got my amoxicillin and cough syrup with Hydra-codone (know I spelled that wrong) and went back to bed. Got up that afternoon and was able to eat something other than grapes. I’m on the way to recovery! Still felt like crap. Anyway…got a bad night’s sleep Thursday night. More meds and by Friday afternoon I was able to actually get some rest while sleeping. Still soaked the sheets from sweating but it was better. I had color and humor back and was , I think, pleasant company Friday night. I didn’t get any complaints, anyway. So here I am on Saturday night back in the office. It’s almost 11 and I’ll get off in an hour. I know I’m going to sleep well and good tonight. I’m sure I’ll be physically recovered by Monday. Just hope I get a chance to prove it soon.
